Time for God
‘Time for God aims to provide quality volunteering through which lives are changed.’
Before the union of Emmanuel URC and St Columba’s URC, to become Downing Place United Reformed Church, Time for God volunteers played a large role in the life of Emmanuel URC. Each September a volunteer was welcomed to live and work in the community for twelve months. Lives were changed and faith enriched – both for volunteers and congregation.
We are very happy to say that in September 2023 we welcomed our first volunteer to Downing Place URC and are enjoying witnessing the difference that her presence with us is making to our community here. She lives with a host and is involved in many aspects of church life.
