I had the pleasure of hearing from many of our Lunchtime Concert performers over the past week or two, after emailing them to update them about the progress of our building work and our hopes for reopening next year. They are all well and looking forward to resuming public performances – it has been a long time now for many of them
We have started to book concerts for 2021 in starting with an inaugural organ recital on the new digital organ to be given by our own co-Director of Music, Ian de Massini, on Wednesday 7 April. Expect to see many of your favourites on the schedule over the spring and onwards – there will be something for everyone!
We are still finalising dates with performers, and will be developing the Music area of the website considerably over the autumn wirth features and excerpts from performances.
Concerts will run (God willing!) through from 7 April to 15 December 2021, when we will close the year with our annual Christmas Concert to be given by Cambridge Voices.
There will be much more over the next few months – we look forward to sharing it with you!
